About US:

Grun Farm International SMC Co. Ltd is an agribusiness company trading in both livestock and crops.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Develop and recommend strategic plans to the Executive Director that ensures the Company makes resources affordable, available and accessible, including profitable growth and overall success. This includes updating and making changes as required, and involving the Executive Director in the early stages of developing strategy.
  • Successfully implement the corresponding business and operational plans. Review and report regularly to the Executive Director on the overall progress and results against operating, social and financial objectives and initiate courses of action for improvement. This should include identification of future opportunities and innovations.
  • Take a lead role in development of reliable and ecofriendly technologies in the livestock farming industry.
  • Be aware of government policies and regulations that affect the Company’s service delivery and operations, and propose and pursue changes to suit the needs of the Company.
  • Develop annual operating forecasts of revenue, expenditures, operational results and financial performance and ensure financial growth of the company.
  • Develop annual capital commitment and expenditure budgets for approval by the Executive Director. Authorize commitment of corporate resources, including optimum utilization of machinery. Enter into agreements, contracts, leases, etc. in the ordinary course of business, in order to pursue the approved strategies, business plans, and objectives of the Company, provided however, that major commitments, exposures, and risks will be reported to the Executive Director on a regular and timely basis.
  • Develop and institute systems and processes that ensure all services are delivered effectively and service delivery of the resources are improved to make them affordable, accessible and available.
  • Implement value- addition activities such as the setting up of hatchery and brooding centers. Also ensure the implementation of the 10acre model poultry project as well as the goat breeding farm as directed by the Executive Director.
  • Develop and maintain a sound, effective organizational structure, and ensure capable management succession, progressive employee training, employee motivation and development programs.
  • Provide the Executive Director, at management meetings, exposure to the Company’s key management personnel.
  • Ensure effective communications and appropriate relationships are maintained with the Executive Director of the Company and other stakeholders such as customers, industry, employees, the financial community, regulators, governments, non-government organizations, communities in which Grun Farm International Co. Ltd operates, suppliers, and media.
  • Manage and oversee the required interfaces between the Company and the public and act as the principal spokesperson for the Company.
  • Strengthen effective communication between the Goat and poultry farms.
  • Keep the Executive Director fully informed on all aspects of the Company’s operational and financial affairs, and on all matters of significant relevance to the Company including those items emanating from governments and regulators on issues such as fiscal, monetary and environment policies, legislation affecting operations and regulatory oversight, etc.
  • Authorize and ensure that effective control and co-ordination mechanisms for all operations and activities are in place including the establishment and development of effective internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Ensure the Company’s assets are adequately safeguarded and optimized in the best interests of the Executive Director/ shareholders.
  • Maintain a high level of integrity, work ethics and Corporate Governance standards.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicants should preferable hold an honors degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, food science, food technology and any veterinary related degree from a recognized university
  • A post graduate diploma in Monitoring and evaluation or project planning and management
  • At least two years post graduate experience
  • Age: Between 25 and 35 years
