International Masters Scholarship: University of Aberdeen (UK) 2018 – 2019
ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY/ SCHOLARSHIP PROVIDER
The University of Aberdeen is situated in the city of Aberdeen, which is in Scotland, United Kingdom. The University was founded by William Elphinstone (the then Bishop of Aberdeen) in 1495.
The University of Aberdeen is made up of 5 campuses, each of which specialises in a different field of study:
- Old Aberdeen campus: the King’s College campus is the location of Social Sciences, Physical Sciences, Arts and the Universities main library.
- Cromarty campus: marine ecology training, resource management and research.
- Oceanlab campus: marine research.
- Foresterhill campus: Medicine and Life Sciences.
- Rowett campus: nutrition and human health research.
ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP
The International Masters Scholarship by the University of Aberdeen is applicable for Postgraduate international students and will be awarded to the value of £2,000 (approximately 760,000 Nigerian Naira) to be used as a tuition fee discount.
FIELDS OF STUDY COVERED
Postgraduate (Masters)
Any field (except the following: Oil and Gas Innovation, Petrophysics and Formation Evaluation)
ELIGIBILITY
Please ensure that you meet these minimum entry criteria before applying:
- Recognised as an International student (for tuition purposes)
- National of an African country (including Nigeria)/ China/ Vietnam/ Malaysia
- Self-financing student
- Received an (conditional/ unconditional) offer from the University of Aberdeen for admission to study towards an eligible Masters course
- Plan on commencing your full-time studies at the University in September 2018
- Will be based at the University on the Aberdeen campus during the course of the study programme
- NOT a member of the Aberdeen Alumni
- NOT studying at the University via a a University partnership
HOW TO APPLY
There is no application process for this scholarship award. Students who receive their offer of admissions from the University for an eligible Masters course, will receive an email from the University Vice Principal.
The Vice Principal will advise you that you are eligible and have been offered a scholarship, as well as further instructions on how to accept the award.
