Reports To : Yaps Supervisors And Art Incharge
Work Station : Arua Rrh

Duties and Responsibilities
• Organizing and Conducting Health Education Talks to Ayp And Care Takers
• Providing Pre-Test and Post-Test Counselling Support to Ayp
• Conducting Hts.
• Receiving Newly Diagnosed Hiv Positive Adolescents
• Provide Health Education
• File Running During Adolescent Clinics
• Supporting In Triage and Taking Anthropometric Measurements
• Registration of Clients In Linkage/Pre-Art Register To Get Patient Id Number
• Appointment Monitoring- Identify Those Due for Viral Load Testing and Line-List Them.
• Mobilizing Ayp Due for Vl Testing
• Adherence Monitoring and Support
• Adherence Counselling and Support
• Intensive Adherence Counselling and Support
• Assist in Formation of Support Groups and Help in Running them at the Facility Level.

• Lost Adolescents and Children That Are Followed Up
• Adolescents in Schools Who Are Refilled with ARVS
• Adolescents Offered HTS
• Adolescents Supported To Keep Their Appointment
• Adolescent Girls and Young Women Reached and Offered HIV Prevention Services
• Proper Documentation in the Relevant Register
• Monthly Report Detailing Activities That Have Been Done

Key Performance Indicators
• Number of Lost Adolescents and Children That Are Followed Up
• Number of Adolescents in Schools Who Are Refilled With ARVS
• Number of Adolescents Offered HTS
• Number of Adolescents That Have Kept Their Appointment
• Number of Adolescent Girls and Young Women Reached and Offered HIV Prevention Services
• Proper Documentation In The Relevant Register
• Monthly Report Detailing Activities That Have Been Done

Training and qualifications and skills
• Aged 18-22 Years
• Be Hiv Positive,
• Be Disclosed To, and Aware Of Hiv Status
• Willing To Disclose To Others.
• Public Disclosure an Added Advantage, But Not Mandatory
• Demonstrated Commitment and Passion in Helping Peers
• May Be In Or Out Of School.
• If In-School, Tertiary Level With A Flexible Program To Allow For Their Engagement.
• Available To Offer Services for 3 Days in the Week
• Be Able To Read and Write (English) With A Minimum of Primary Leaving Certificate
• Resident within the Health Facility Catchment Area
• Should Be Stable In Care. Should Have Been In Care for At Least 12 Months; ≥ 12 in Care;
• Good Adherence; Suppressed Viral Load within the Last 6 Months.
• Be Able To Freely Express Themselves,
• Good Interpersonal Skills and Ability to Interact Productively With Other Fellow Peers
• Self-Motivated, Innovative and Capable Of Meeting Deadlines
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Ability to Work in Team in a Respectful Way
• Willingness To Work And Live In Rural Areas Is Required
