Senior Lecturer (Electronics Engineering Or Telecommunication Engineering)

Responsible for : Lower level Academic Staff in the relevant discipline
Purpose of the Job
To teach, supervise students and conduct research and publish.
Person Specification
• PhD in Electronic Engineering or Telecommunication Engineering or related
Field.
• A Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering or Telecommunication Engineering
• or related Field.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or Telecommunication Engineering
or related Field.
• At least 8 years relevant teaching experience from a recognized higher
educational institution.
• Evidence of continuous research with at least 8 publications in reputable refereed
journals.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Prepares well-researched lectures and delivers them to undergraduate and post-
graduate students.
• Sets tests, examinations and course work.
• Administers and invigilates tests and examinations.
• Marks tests, course work and examinations scripts, compiles and grades
examination results.
• Guides and advises students on their academic performance.
• Conducts research and disseminates research findings through conferences,
seminars and publications.
• Supervises undergraduate and post graduate students undertaking research
• projects.
• Conducts seminars and tutorials.
• Contributes to the University and wider society through community service.

• Well researched lectures delivered.
• Tests, examinations and course work set.
• Tests and examinations administered and invigilated.
• Tests, course work and examination scripts marked and examinations results
• compiled and graded.
