About the role
Restless Development in partnership with CARE International in Uganda, Centre for Reproductive Rights, and Youth Coalition for Sexual and Reproductive Health & Rights, is implementing a seven-year project; Sexual and Reproductive Health and Economic Empowerment supporting out of school adolescent girls’ rights and skills (SHE SOARS) in Arua city, Terego, Madi-Okollo and Kampala districts. The SHE SOARS project seeks to increase enjoyment of sexual related human rights by the most marginalised and vulnerable women and girls’ rights holders particularly out of school adolescent girls. Therefore, we are looking for young people passionate about sexual reproductive health and research to be part of this exciting work as youth researchers.

Your role as a Youth Research
As a Youth Researcher, you will support the implementation of the project in the districts of Arua city, Terego and Madi-Okollo and you will take the lead of the entire research cycle i.e., conduct data collection, participate in the analysis of findings and reporting. Below are the specific roles and responsibilities;
• Attending foundation trainings for both the qualitative and quantitative research
• Mobilise respondents
• Carryout data collection as per the agreed upon targets/deliverables
• Ensure high quality of data collected by cleaning it
• Carry out transcription of collected data
• Participate in the analysis workshop
• Conduct validation exercises
• Ensure the safety of fellow researchers and the community members
