1. CAMPUS  REGISTRAR –ZOMBA CAMPUS

Purpose of the Job

  • Supervising support staff in administration division.
  • Ensuring that adequate staff welfare is maintained such as internal medical scheme, staff pension scheme and providing support to staff welfare activities.
  • Maintaining the inventory of assets, staff and students records.
  • Participating in the recruitment of staff.
  • Carrying out staff performance assessment in administration division.
  •  Handling grievances and disciplinary cases and staff welfare matters
  • Planning occupational health and safety of staff and students.
  •  Assisting in the administration of insurance policies
  • Interpreting terms and conditions of service to staff.
  •  Participating in the preparation, implementation and review of business plans, budgets and strategic plan.
  • Participating in the procurement activities of the campus.
  • Assisting in the recruitment, registration, examination and discipline of students.
  • Participate in updating of training plans.
  • Managing of assets and contracted out functions

Minimum qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor of Arts Degree in Human Resource Management, Public/Business Administration or a BSc in Health Services Management.
  • Those with MBA, MPA will have an added advantage.
  • 3 years relevant experience

Other Competences

  • Good computer skills
  • A self starter with excellent analytical ,planning , communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of Labour Laws

2. Lecturer in Dental Therapy

Purpose of the Job

To train students at Certificate, Diploma and Degree levels.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Teaching students in class, skills laboratory and clinical area.
  • Carrying out formative and summative assessments
  • Participating in the development of academic and administrative tools.
  • Counseling students on academic matters.
  • Attending departmental and academic meetings.
  • Conducting research and consultancies

Minimum qualifications and experience

  • Degree in Dentistry
  • 2 years relevant experience

Other competences

  • Good computer skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

3. Lecturer in Radiography

Purpose of the Job

To train students at Certificate, Diploma and Degree levels.

4. ASSISTANT HUMAN RESOURCE AND ADMINISTRATION OFFICER –BLANTYRE CAMPUS

Purpose of the Job

To provide administrative and human resource support services to all divisions.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Maintaining human resource and administrative records.
  2. Implementing occupational health and safety of staff and students
  3. Arranging maintenance of vehicles, office equipment, plant and buildings.
  4. Participating in stock taking and carrying out snap checks in stores to ensure that stores records are up to date.
  5. Resolving and handling staff grievances and disciplinary cases.
  6. Supervising subordinate staff under him/her.

Minimum qualifications and experience

  • Diploma in Business Administration, Diploma in Human Resource Management
  •  3 years relevant work experience

  • Knowledge of Labour Laws
