Blantyre International University Bachelor of Logistics and Supply Chain Management

Blantyre International University Bachelor of Logistics and Supply Chain Management

Blantyre International University Bachelor of Logistics; Today’s businesses become more competitive due to rapid change and globalization. Competition in both local and international markets requires an excellent distribution network. By the rapid change in the development of information technologies, business processes are also changing. The change has also brought a tremendous change in customer expectations. We start to notice more and more impatient customers in the market, and customers start to inquire different channels to have goods and services delivered to them. In order to survive in such a challenging environment, Logistic and Supply Chain Management are becoming increasingly important subjects. This area deals with procurement of raw materials, their delivery to the production environment, storage of raw material as well as finished goods, and distribution channels, which are also important activities within a supply chain. These changes increase the importance of logistics both in Malawi and globally.

Logistics plays a key role in the implementation of processes responsible for the company’s operative performance. Because only an intelligent control system that manages the company’s interconnecting flow of products and information can give rise to innovations in profit-oriented processes and products. In the Bachelor of Science in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, you will work on integrated approaches for logistical solutions – and their successful implementation. Students will be introduced to the current and relevant subareas of logistics. The main focus includes Contract Logistics and Forwarding, International Transport as well as Intra-logistics.

During their study they will be able to look far beyond their own experience in logistics with the help of specific issues: at Blantyre International University, in Bachelor of Science in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, students will learn how to implement an advanced concept of Logistics and Supply Chain Management. They will analyze the management and optimization of financial processes which are necessary for success-oriented use in inventory/stocks, technical furnishing and equipment, vehicle fleet and real estate.
