Criteria for Admission

Entry in Year 1 shall be based on MSCE, ‘‘O’’ Level, IGCSE, or GCE with at least six credits including Geography, English, Mathematics and Physical Science.

Entry in Year 2 shall be based on Certificate in land-related programme or A-Level with at least a C grade in Geography, English, Mathematics and Physical Science.  However, depending on the strength of the A-Level they will be required to audit first year Land Economy courses.

Entry in Year 3 shall be based on Diploma in Land Economy if the candidate has accumulated the required credits as stipulated in the UNIMA Qualifications Framework and upon assessment of prior learning.

Students from other Universities doing a program in Bachelor of Science Degree in Land Economy and wishing to transfer or join this program at different levels will have to submit to the College the following:

  • Academic transcript
  • Letter of reference from one’s school/university
  • Copy of one’s diploma/degree

Students who have previously graduated from the Polytechnic with Credit or more will be admitted into Honours Degree in Land Economy.

Students that have previously graduated from the Polytechnic with a Bachelor of Science in Land Economy with a PASS and would like to continue with their studies to Honours Degree level will have to submit the following to the College for assessment:

  • One-year practical experience report
  • Letter of recommendation from a registered land economist or other allied registered professionals (engineers and quantity surveyors) proving that they have worked for not less than a year.

Students that have previously graduated from other Universities with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Land Economy and wishing to join the Honours in Land Economy degree will have to submit to the College the following:

  • Copy of one’s degree
  • Academic transcript
  • One-year practical experience report
  • Letter of recommendation from a registered land economist or other allied registered professionals (engineers and quantity surveyors) proving that they have worked for not less than a year.
