Job Summary:
The Biomedical Engineer – Medical Laboratory will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining medical laboratory equipment and systems. This position involves collaborating with laboratory staff and professionals to ensure technological integration and enhancement of diagnostic and research capabilities.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Equipment Management: Installation, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of medical laboratory equipment.
- Technology Integration: Collaborating with laboratory staff to understand needs and design or recommend appropriate technological solutions.
- Research and Development: Keeping informed about advances in biomedical engineering and recommending innovative solutions.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining records of equipment maintenance, preparing reports on equipment performance, and developing SOPs.
- Training and Support: Providing training on the proper use of biomedical equipment and offering technical support to laboratory staff.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring equipment adheres to relevant regulations and standards, participating in audits and inspections.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Relevant qualifications in Biomedical Engineering or a related field.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in designing, reading, and understanding electrical drawings.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Quality awareness and critical-thinking skills.
