Job Summary:

The Transport Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing transportation operations at Securex Agencies. This role involves managing the workshop and transport activities to ensure all equipment and vehicles are well-maintained and in sound working condition.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Conduct routine inspection and maintenance of the fleet of vehicles.
2. Assist in the recruitment of drivers and mechanics.
3. Assign duties to mechanics and drivers.
4. Appraise the performance of drivers and mechanics.
5. Liaise with the purchasing department and advise on purchases of appropriate spare parts.
6. Formulate and implement strategies to prevent time loss, theft of spares, and misuse of fuel and vehicles.
7. Ensure timely application for vehicle insurance, road licenses, and inspections.
8. Assess accident damage costs and handle insurance claims.
9. Manage vehicle fueling and maintain fuel consumption records.
10. Ensure vehicles are kept clean and in good repair.
11. Discipline errant drivers and mechanics.
12. Arrange and coordinate transport requirements for all outside assignments.
