Visit University of Khartoum UofK for more details on the University

The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Khartoum. Born to the University of Khartoum (1902) in 1938, it is one of the oldest veterinary faculties in Africa and the Middle East. The Faculty is dedicated to qualifying future veterinarians, providing services to animal raisers, and conducting research to improve the health of animals as well as people.

Since then, the Faculty has evolved from a 3-department college to an institution of 10 departments at the present time. Your navigation of the website will provide you with adequate information on the structure and organization of this Faculty.

The Faculty has always been supported by a decent number of internationally qualified staff members who represent the driving force in the excellence and reputation attained by this Faculty. In fact, this Faculty shouldered the responsibilities of qualifying most of the staff members of the other veterinary schools in the Sudan, as well as the senior members of staff heading those schools. Moreover, they made substantial efforts in establishing veterinary institutions in the region such as in Nigeria, Libya and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Their research output and publications in international journals is a point of pride for the University of Khartoum at large.
