YMCA Uganda Jinja Branch
The Uganda Young Men’s Christian Association is an autonomous charitable Organization, which was founded in 1959 through joint efforts of the YMCA of U.S.A and some Ugandans. Uganda YMCA has its headquarters at Wandegeya Kampala and has affiliates/partners both nationally and internationally.
The institution’s primary aims focus on improving the quality of life of the People, particularly the youth and other vulnerable groups such as the women. Members are encouraged to participate in YMCA programs which would awaken their minds, bodies and spirit and in addition equip them with long life skills, attitudes and morals with intention to help them live as good Christian citizens of their country and the world at large.
