Grade Evenings
The grade evenings are the responsibility of the Grade Head, the register educators of a specific grade, as well as the RCL members of the grade.
Grade evenings have three purposes. Firstly, they serve to communicate general information. Secondly, they provide an opportunity for educators to meet with parents of learners who have academic problems and, thirdly, they provide an opportunity for educators can meet with parents of learners who have disciplinary problems.
Every term, reports under-achieving learners and those with discipline problem will be retained. In some cases, parents can collect these at the grade evening. All subject educators will be present at the evening and have the relevant assessment records with them in order to discuss the learner’s problems with his/her parent/guardian. The venue is the school hall so that parents are able to meet with educators conveniently and expeditiously.
