It is important that you understand the following:1. The admission and enrolment of children to Dainfern College is at the discretion of the Principal of the College, who may refuse a child’s admission to Dainfern College without giving reasons therefor and may grant temporary or provisional enrolment to the College subject to such further terms and conditions that the Principal may impose. The Principal may, at his/her sole discretion, cancel enrolment in accordance with the Enrolment Contract, which Contract is signed by both parties on acceptance of a place at the College.
2. Dainfern College will not automatically offer a place to a sibling, should the family’s payment history with the College not have complied with the payment terms in the contracts signed for the other child/ren.
3. The College’s physical environment, facilities and resources limit its ability to provide high quality education to children with special educational needs. If, in the reasonable opinion of the Principal, Dainfern College is not able to provide adequately for your child’s special educational needs, enrolment may not be offered with the College. You must therefore inform Dainfern College, in writing prior to admission and enrolment, of any special educational needs of your child known to you, whether due to neurological barriers, hearing impairments, visual barriers, physical barriers, behavioural or emotional barriers or any other medically assessed need as non-disclosure of such information may result in withdrawal of admission. Dainfern College may also contact the child’s previous school for further information.
4. It is clear that the school and not the parent has the discretion as to admission to a grade different from the legislated age. Provided the criteria used relating to admissions are uniformly applied, no parent is in a position to compel the school to start a child in a particular class.

THE ‘B’ DEBENTURE OPTION (By application)
Dainfern College has in the past issued ‘A’ and ‘B’ debentures. The issue of debentures is controlled by our Board of Governors. New ‘A’ debentures are no longer a part of our offering at Dainfern College.
The ‘B’ debenture costs R47 000 and gives you a R4 700 discount in school fees per annum for every ‘B’ debenture held. Application for ‘B’ debentures can be made through our Finance Committee (Fincom) and all applications will be put on a waiting list. Fincom meets once a term and debentures will be awarded on a first-come first-served basis, based on the needs of the College. You are able to purchase a maximum of five ‘B’ debentures per child.
PLEASE NOTE: An Entrance Fee needs to be in place for every child at the College. This Entrance Fee remains entirely separate from any debentures awarded or held.

2.Annual and termly payment options: Annual school fees not paid in full by 31 January 2024-2025 are payable in three equal instalments at the commencement of each term. Such fees are due by the end of the week following that in which the school term starts, i.e. 25 January, 10 May and 13 September 2024-2025.
3.Monthly payment option: Should parents wish to pay fees monthly, this must be done by debit order over 10 months (February to November). This option needs to be arranged at the beginning of the year with the Fees Administrator. A debit order is mandatory and will be instituted.
4.Additional fees (sundry charges): These are payable by the end of the month in which they first appear on the statement.
5.Payments: Should fees not be paid timeously, overdue accounts will be dealt with as per the terms of the Dainfern College contract of enrolment. All legal costs in this regard will be borne by the defaulting account holder. Interest on overdue accounts will be charged at a maximum rate in line with the terms relating to incidental credit as defined by the National Credit Act of 2005.
6.Withdrawal of educational services: In the event of non-payment of fees, educational services will be withdrawn from the pupil as per the Dainfern College Overdue Accounts Policy as in accordance with ISASA.

∙All fees must be fully paid in advance for each calendar year or part thereof.
Eg: If the student arrives in September then one term’s fees are due immediately.
∙In January of the following year the full year’s fees become due, payable in advance.
∙No fees will be refunded should the student leave the school before the year is completed.
