1. Applicants must visit the website and click on the APPLY NOW button.
2. Applicants are required to complete a 4-step application process during which the applicant must supply some basic information.

  • Please note that applicants are required to supply an email address that will be used in communicating with applicants.
  • It is important to indicate in your application whether or not you are applying for a bursary as this information will be used by the Bursary Office to contact applicants further down the application process.

3. The last step requires the applicant to load the following documents.

  • Identity Document /  Birth Certificate: if under 18 years / Passport number
  • Most recent academic results
  • Proof of Address

On completion of the 4 steps, the student will be notified, via email and SMS, on the successful completion of the application process.

SELECTION OF APPLICANTS

  • The College Selection Committee will at predetermined dates evaluate all applications received up to that point; based on the College admission policy and students’ academic results.
  • Successful applicants will receive notification of an offer letter that has been issued.
  • The offer letter can be accessed via the Application Portal and must be accepted on the Application Portal.
  • Offer letters will expire within 5 days from the date of issue.

ADMISSION PROCESS

  • Once applicants have accepted the offer letter they will be issued with an addendum which needs to be completed and uploaded together with either proof of payment or bursary office approval notice via the Application Portal.
  • On acceptance of the offer letter, the Bursary Office will make contact with the applicants who indicated in their application that they applying for a bursary. The Bursary Office will explain the process to be followed and the documents required.
  • These documents will be check and verified by the campus after which admission will be approved.
  • Students will receive a notification to the effect. This notice will also contain their student number and password to access the Student Portal.
  • The Student Portal will enable the student to access academic, financial and biographical information. The student will also be able to update certain information.

    • Birth Certificate/Identity Document (Proof of application for new ID/Passport)
    • Most recent Academic results
    • Certificates/Qualifications
    • Municipal billing document/other account statement
  • Foreign Nationals
    • Study Permit
    • SAQA Foreign Qualifications Evaluation (www.saqa.org.za)
    • Passport

HOW DO I BOOK AN ASSESSMENT DATE? – False Bay TVET College

  • To book an assessment date please contact your nearest campus.
  • Please bring a pen, a copy of your I.D. document and for NCV L2, N1 to N4 applicants, a copy of your most recent school report or matric certificate.
  • If you are successful, an interview date will be scheduled and you will be given a Student Profile Form (NCV’s only) to be completed by your current school.
  • Depending on your choice of course, you may be referred to the correct campus to continue the registration process.
  • The application form must be completed on your assessment day, if you were unable to do so via our website.

Please note that all documents need to be certified.

WHAT IS EXPECTED AT MY INTERVIEW? – False Bay TVET College

  • Please be punctual for your interview.
  • The following documents are required for your interview: Copies of your I.D. and school report (if you have not yet submitted them) and your Student Profile Form that has been completed by your current school.

Please inform the interviewer if you have any disabilities.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER MY INTERVIEW? – False Bay TVET College

You will receive a letter from False Bay TVET College informing you of one of the following:

  • You have been accepted to register, pending your final school results which you are to submit to the campus. This means you may register as soon as you have met the financial requirements.
  • You are on a waiting list.
  • You have unfortunately not been accepted to register.

HOW DO I REGISTER? – False Bay TVET College

  • Submit certified proof of residence and a certified copy of your parents or guardian’s I.D with your False Bay TVET College acceptance letter.
  • Complete biographical and registration forms and a Finance Agreement and Code of Conduct.
  • Your first instalment fee is now due (Private Student). This must please be paid in to our bank account. Feel free to use the campus debit/credit card facility.
  • With proof of payment or white bursary slip you may now register.
