CurriculaThree-degree programmes and one diploma programme are on offer. These are BHMS, BSc (HMS & Biochemistry), BHSc in Biokinetics. In each of these programmes, students complete compulsory core and fundamental HMS modules, as well as a choice of elective sports modules. BHMS students are required to select additional modules from any other discipline. All three-degree programmes can lead to post-graduate studies in Human Movement Science (BHMS Honours, Masters and Doctorate).
The Diploma in Sport Management is tailored to prepare students for the many career paths that have emerged in the business of sport. A fixed curriculum with subjects such as sports management, sport science for sport managers, marketing and public relations ensures that students are well-equipped for positions within the sports industry. A unique feature is that students are required to undertake six months of experiential learning at an approved sport-related workstation in their third year.
