Background Of Our Institution

Located in the heart of the restful city of Pretoria,northern Gauteng Province, Tshwane City College(TCC) was founded in may 2007 and opened doors to its first intake of students in Novemeber 2008.

TCC has carved out a reputation as an academic powerhouse where a clear focus of excellence has secured national and international recognition alongside longer established institutions.

Founded on the principles of excellence and individuality, Tshwane City College opened in 2008 with just 80 students. Tshwane City College has evovled and developed to become a haven of education in the last 11 years. The college has risen to become one of the top private Technical and Vocational Education and Training(TVET) colleges in Gauteng, bringing out an average of 800 graduates every academic year end.

Our 11th anniversary is a significant miliestone in our history and development. It provides us with an opportunity to reflect on our rich past, and look forward to an exciting future, as we continue to develop  as one of the South Africa’s first choice private TVET colleges.

TCC is registered with Department of Higher Education and Training(DHET). The institution is accredited by Umalusi, the quality assurance council in TVET colleges in South Africa and the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations(QCTO) Currently, TCC has one campus and is conveniently located at 262 Madiba Street in Pretoria Central Business District(CBD). The campus is highly recommended for a conducive learning enviroment that make our students and learners focus on their core business of working towards achieving their respective academic goals.

To ensure the teaching and learning processes takes place successfully, TCC has over the past 11 years managed to assemble an effective team of educators and lectures who are not only highly qualified for the job but highly motivated to implement the learning and teachings plans to ensure our learners and students achieve their respective academic goals.

Pretoria(Tshwane), as the base of our campus,offers a great deal of architecture, culture and serene environment that serves as a living and learning laboratory for experiences in business, science, engineering,language and arts. TCC is focused upon making a positive impact on the community, social development and the environment, as well as contributing towards the realization of the shared socio-economic objectives of local, provincial and the national government.

TCC is guided by its motto of “Providing Academic Excellence”, This motto spurs us to strive and provide the best teaching and learning experience possible to our learners and students in order for them to succeed either in the job market or in further study programs. We achieve this through the provision of a very conducive and unique learning enviroment that is renowned  for its consideration of unique individual; student needs and also by providing the best qualified Educators and Lectures the market can provide. Over the last eleven (11) years, we have worked tirelelessly to ensure a very high pass rate is achieved and as we celebrate 11 years of academic excellence, we are proud to say our annual pass rate has increased from 40% in 2009 to 80% in 2017 and 2018 academic years. The degree of excellence is as a result of the exceptional management and staff members employed at the college.
