The University of Zambia Library system consists of three libraries. The Main Library at the Great East Road Campus, the Veterinary Library, serving the School of Veterinary Medicine and the Medical Library situated at the University Teaching Hospital. The Main Library was designated a National Reference Library and is as such open to the general public.
As the heart of the University of Zambia, the University Libraries support and augment the teaching, learning and research of the University community. The Libraries promote intellectual growth and creativity by developing collections, facilitating access to information resources, teaching the effective use of information resources and critical evaluation skills and offering research assistance.
