For the undergraduate programmes both government and privately sponsored students are integrated.
All programmes have compulsory practical works which consists of three months industrial attachment.
We continuously review academic programmes for relevance, marketability and competitiveness.
These activities contribute a lot in preparing our graduates to fit in a real working environment.
Apart from the training programmes the School is involved in research, consultancy and extension works.
These activities are carried out at the university and some in collaboration with other organizations and institutions both nationally and internationally.
The School is characterized by well trained academic and support staff though recruitment is still ongoing.
The School is committed to continuous professional and academic training of its staff through research and development so as to cope up with the dynamisms of education and development.
Partnership and collaborations shall be of prime importance in having the school realize its dream in line with the university’s vision and mission.
RULES AND REGULATIONS GOVERNING THE CONDUCT & DISCIPLINE OF STUDENTS
Respect and adhere to the administrative and academic rules, procedures and structures established by the University Charter and the Statutes for the control, governance and operations of the University.
Respect the rights and privileges of the members of the University community at all times.
Refrain from any conduct that might bring the University or any section or programme thereof into disrepute or public odium.
Carry yourselves in all public places or forums with such humility and dignity as befits their status as mature and responsible citizens.

In the redress of grievances, students shall be expected to go through the laid down channels and procedures as follows.
Academic Matters
Class Representatives, Academic Advisers, HODs, Deans of Schools and Dean of Students in that order.
CONCLUSION
May I conclude by thanking the Moi University Council and the Vice Chancellor together with the whole University Management for their continued support to the School of Biological and Physical Sciences without which we could not have done much as we continue to play a leading role as a supplier of Science-related manpower in the country and much of the African Region.
