Technical University Of Mombasa TUM Admissions 2024-2025; The academic body of Technical University Of Mombasa TUM is calling on all prospective students that Applications are invited for suitably qualified applicants for admissions into its various undergraduate, postgraduate and other non-degree programmes.

Each applicant should:

GENERAL ADMISSION CRITERIA

(a) General Minimum Entry Requirements

1. Degree: Mean grade of C+ (plus) in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) OR other qualifications recognized by the Academic Board.
2. Diploma: Mean grade of C (plain) in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) OR other qualifications recognized by the Academic Board.
3. Pre-university College and Certificates: Mean grade of C-(minus) in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) OR other qualifications recognized by the Academic Board.

(b) Other entry qualifications:

The Academic Board shall determine other entry qualifications as follows:

For Degree

1. A diploma from a recognized examining body or institution and in a field relevant to the programme sought at TUM.
2. A Certificate taking 2 years and above from a recognized examining body or institution and in a field relevant to the programme sought at TUM.
3. A Pre-university College Certificate from a recognized institution.
4. Division II and above in O-level.

For Diploma

1. A certificate from a credible institution (6 months and above) and in a field relevant to a programme sought at TUM.
2. A Pre-university College Certificate from a recognized institution.
3. Div. III in O-Level.

For certificate

1. A craft course from a credible institution (6 months and above) and in a field relevant to a programme sought at TUM.
2. A Pre-university College Certificate from a recognized institution.
3. Div. IV in O-Level.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

1. Application forms can be obtained from the Office of the Registrar (AA) Technical University of Mombasa (TUM) OR downloaded from TUM Website at https://www.tum.ac.ke/cdn/downloads/documents/application_form.pdf

2. All applicants are required to pay a non-refundable fee of KShs. 2,500/= for PhD, KShs. 1,500/= for Masters, KShs. 1,000/-for Bachelors and KShs.500/-for Diploma& Certificates through the following Bank Accounts:

5. All successful mid-entry applicants shall be required to pay a mid-entry fee of KShs. 15,000/=.

6. Unsuccessful applications shall not be acknowledged.

7. The Duly completed forms should be submitted on or before the last registration period

Application and Registration Conditions

1. All applicants must complete an application form either electronically or in hard copy and submit to the Registrar Academic Affairs. The application form shall be available at the University website for download (https://www.tum.ac.ke/cdn/downloads/documents/application_form.pdf). The application form shall be accompanied by all supporting documents showing the applicant’s qualification. The application form shall be processed only upon receipt of stipulated non-refundable application fee.

2. After processing the applications, the Registrar Academic Affairs, Director School of Graduate Studies (SGS) or any other authorized officer shall communicate the decision in writing to all successful applicants.

3. The applicant is responsible for the authenticity of any documents submitted for the purpose of securing admission. Should such documents provided at any time be found to be fraudulent, admission will be nullified and/or certificates issued on the basis of such documents shall be withdrawn and cancelled.
