About Kirinyaga University School of Engineering & Built Environment
The School is located in the Academic Block, around 120 metres from the main gate.
Currently, the School has two degree programmes, six diploma programmes, and four certificate programmes.
All our programmes intake is in September, January and May respectively.
The department has a student population of 139 and 18 teaching and support staff. Our pioneer students in Diploma and certificate programmes in Electrical and Electronics Engineering & Technology, Mechanical Engineering & Technology, Diploma in Building Construction, Diploma in Architecture, Diploma in Civil Engineering, Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Certificate in Architectural studies, Certificate in Building Construction, Certificate in Electrical and Electronic Engineering & Technology and Certificate in Automotive Engineering graduated during our first graduation ceremony on 13th Oct 2018.The School has three areas of specialization namely;
Electrical and Electronic Engineering
Mechanical Engineering, and
Architectural and Building Science.
As the University is looking forward to growing. The School is currently developing more market oriented programs to be launched in September 2018 namely;
Diploma in Mechatronics
Bachelor of Technology in Mechatronics, and
Bachelor of Technology in Education.
