Kenya Medical Research Institute Community Interviewer Jobs
Program description: The Kenya Medical Research Institute’s Centre for Global Health Research in collaboration with WHO aims to evaluate the performance characteristics of the VISITECT® CD4 Advanced Disease semi-quantitative point of care CD4 assay within the HIV-Research Division.
Position: Community Interviewer – (5 Positions) J/g Kmr 10
Location: Kisumu County
Reports to: Study Coordinator
Required qualification
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education grade D plus
- Certificate in HIV Testing Services(HTS)
- Certificate in computer packages
- Must be residents of the study sites
- Good command of English, Swahili languages is required
Job Description
The community interviewer will report directly to the Study Coordinator and will be responsible for collecting timely and accurate data in his or her assigned duty.
Specific Tasks and Responsibilities
The community interviewers’ responsibilities shall include and not be limited to the following:
- Consent study participants
- Perform finger prick procedure and test using rapid device
- Assist with recruitment of participants to enroll in study
- Complete study forms accurately and completely
- Data entry through diaries and computer
- Communicate field matters to supervisor
- Attend study meetings and report on progress of work
- Be courteous, respectful, proactive, conscientious, punctual, honest and hardworking
- Any other duty as may be assigned from time to time by immediate supervisor
Terms of Employment:
Fixed Term Employment for 2 months.
