St Andrew’s Prep School is seeking to appoint a Pastoral Matron who will assist the house parents in ensuring the welfare of the pupils within the boarding house teams and act as a model in all areas to pupils within the boarding house.
Reporting to the House parent in the respective boarding house, the Pastoral Matron will be expected to take care of pupils, with particular responsibility for their health, mental, emotionally and general well-being.
They will also be responsible for the supervision of cleanliness and organisation
in the dorm.
They will be expected to liaise with the House parents in matters related to health and safety.

The successful candidate will need to be able to support the School’s aims and Christian ethos.
They will have to have attained a certificate in their high school education or its equivalent coupled with
one year experience as a Matron in a boarding school.
The successful candidate will be expected to have a good command of the English language both spoken and written.
Beyond that we want to have staff who love working as part of a team; who are first-class communicators and who are passionate about the subjects and pupils they teach; who are creative and diligent in their planning; who are adaptable, energetic and resilient.
Experience of working in a School environment, or in boarding, for a period of one year would be desirable, Above all, what matters is a commitment to help us provide a world-class education for our children.
