Summit Recruitment & Search Procurement Officer – Building and Construction Jobs in Kenya
Key responsibilities:
- Keep a record of stocks and restock the store accordingly.
- Taking physical inventory once a month to cross-check with the monthly inventory
- Prepare purchase orders and send copies to suppliers and to departments originating requests.
- Ensure that the store is kept clean and organized.
- Compare prices, specifications, and delivery dates to determine the best bid among potential suppliers.
- Proper material distribution/supply chain maintain and follow-up.
- Sourcing of new suppliers & sampling, testing and approval for new suppliers.
- Support in local shopping /purchasing.
- Prepare, maintain, and review purchasing files, reports, and price lists.
- Any other duty assigned by the management.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Purchasing and Supplies.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years working experience in the Building and Construction sector.
- Must have Interpersonal skills.
- Reporting writing skills.
- Good Knowledge of Safety Management.
- Must display a high degree of Integrity.
- Flexibility to adapt to change in priorities.
