Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strong technical understanding of the technologies, features, benefits and application of the company’s range of products and solutions for the food industry.
  • Manage a portfolio of customer accounts and maximize cross-selling opportunities for the business.
  • Consistently expand the portfolio of customer accounts through pro-active business development activities.
  • Develop and maintain a healthy and well-balanced project pipeline.
  • Plan and execute effective and appropriate trials of the company’s solutions in customer facilities.
  • Maintain a customer project database and work with the Regional Sales Manager to develop strategic sales plans for the company’s solutions.
  • Understand and recommend pricing requirements.
  • Actively participate in training and development programs in order to maximize market penetration.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Technology or a closely related field.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in the food industry required, including demonstrated knowledge of food formulation and solution provision.
  • Ingredient industry experience in customer-facing roles with applied technical experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently.
  • Strong Sales and BDM skills with a proven track record.
  • Goal-oriented, organized team player.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the region.
