Summit Recruitment & Search Technical Sales Representative Jobs in Kenya
Responsibilities:
- Develop a strong technical understanding of the technologies, features, benefits and application of the company’s range of products and solutions for the food industry.
- Manage a portfolio of customer accounts and maximize cross-selling opportunities for the business.
- Consistently expand the portfolio of customer accounts through pro-active business development activities.
- Develop and maintain a healthy and well-balanced project pipeline.
- Plan and execute effective and appropriate trials of the company’s solutions in customer facilities.
- Maintain a customer project database and work with the Regional Sales Manager to develop strategic sales plans for the company’s solutions.
- Understand and recommend pricing requirements.
- Actively participate in training and development programs in order to maximize market penetration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Technology or a closely related field.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in the food industry required, including demonstrated knowledge of food formulation and solution provision.
- Ingredient industry experience in customer-facing roles with applied technical experience strongly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently.
- Strong Sales and BDM skills with a proven track record.
- Goal-oriented, organized team player.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the region.
