NCPD Senior Records Management Officer Job in Kenya
The National Council for Population and Development (NCPD) is a Semi-Autonomous Government Agency in the National Treasury and Ministry of Planning.
The Council seeks to fill the following vacant positions:
ADVERT NO: 002/2021
POSITION: SENIOR RECORDS MANAGEMENT OFFICER
JOB GRADE: NCPD 5
NO.OF POSITIONS: 1
Reports to: Deputy Director – HR & Administration
Duties and Responsibilities:
(i) Guides Formulation, implementation and review of Records Management Policies, standards, strategies, guidelines and procedure and programme
(ii) Provide technical advice on filing classification schemes, records retention and disposal schedules
(iii) Guides the Council on security of records and appropriate storage
(iv) Coordinates automation and digitization of the Council`s records
(v) Advises users of records on available information for planning and decision making purposes
(vi) Initiates surveys, appraisal and disposal of records in line with the Council’s records management policy and Public Archives and Documentation Act.
(vii) Implements and maintains ISO management systems and other standards in the unit.
(viii) Develops and implements the unit work plan and budget.
(ix) Mentors and coaches staff in the unit.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
i. A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in Records Management, Information Management Science, or equivalent qualifications.
ii. Served in the grade of Records Management Officer I or in a comparable and relevant position in the Public Service for a minimum period of (3) years and
iii. Senior Management Course or its equivalent lasting not less than four (4) weeks or its equivalent will be an added advantage

- Kenya Credit Reference Bureau and Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
