Aviation Company Head of Maintenance (AOC) Job in Kenya

A Nairobi / Masai Mara based Aviation Company requires an experienced Head of Maintenance (AOC).
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. The Head of Maintenance reports directly to the Accountable Manager
2. He / She shall be responsible to the Certificate Holder for, but not limited to, the following:
- Ensuring the maintenance of Governors’ Aviation Ltd airplanes are in a state of continuous airworthiness.
- Ensuring the policies & amp; procedures which govern Maintenance operations in MCM are complied with.
- Establish and maintain a system for the continuing analysis and surveillance of the performance and effectiveness of its maintenance program and for the correction of any deficiency in those programs. Ensure the design and application of the maintenance program observes human factors principles.
- Ensure amendments to the maintenance program are furnished to all organizations/and or persons to whom the maintenance program has been issued.
- Effecting the provisions of any operational directive, airworthiness directive, and any other continued airworthiness requirement made mandatory by the Authority.
- Evaluate and process manufacturer’s service bulletins (SBs), service information letters (SILs);
- The review and safe keeping of all Technical Records.
- Liaison with the KCAA through the Head of Quality.
- Maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alterations are performed according to its approved maintenance programs & amp; manuals.
- Ensuring that each aircraft released to service is airworthy and has been properly maintained.
Qualifications:
- A license in maintenance engineering with appropriate airframe, powerplant and avionics ratings; and
- Three years’ experience in maintaining the same category and class of aircraft used by the operator certificate holder including one year in the capacity of returning aircraft into service.
- Experience in the management of aircraft maintenance organization
- Thorough knowledge of KCARS
- Thorough knowledge of aircraft maintenance requirements
- Thorough knowledge of the organization’s maintenance procedures
- He / She shall be a licensed aircraft engineer with at least 5 years’ experience in a supervisory role or Aeronautical degree holder with three years’ experience in aircraft maintenance management or supervision role.
