About JKUAT Westlands Campus – Details:
Nairobi Campus was started in 2002 with the objective of taking education closer to our clients in Nairobi city and its surrounding. Situated along Waiyaki Way, Opposite CCK next to Kianda School. It is a Campus that started as a small centre offering IT and Business courses which included certificates, diplomas and degrees. The Centre has grown steadily in terms of student population and the number of courses offered.
In 2008, the Centre was elevated into a Campus of the university offering more courses in the School of Human Resource Development (SHRD), Institute of computer Science and Information Technology (ICSIT) and Faculty of Science. The most popular courses with our students are: Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science (BAS), Bachelor of Business and Information Technology (BBIT), Bachelor of Commerce (BCOM), Bachelor of Purchasing and Supplies Management (BPS). The Campus also offer post graduate courses including MBA, MSC. Procurement and Logistics, MSC Entrepreneurship, MSC Statistics, and Msc Bioinformatics, Msc Computer Science and Msc. The Campus also supports other postgraduate courses offered by other institutes such as MSC Environmental legislation and Management, MSC in Energy Technology and MSC in Occupational Safety and Health of the Institute of Energy and Environmental Technology (IEET).
In 2013 the campus name was changed to Westlands campus. New programmes and courses have been introduced.
