Job Vacancy: Community Development Facilitator – Lare Ward
The objective of the job is: To build capacities of target communities to utilize the available resources for improved food security, nutrition and income.
Responsibilities:
- To work as a Community development facilitator with ICSAP outreach programme in Lare Ward.
- To promote the Sustainable Agriculture for Rural Development in Lare Ward
- Promote kitchen gardening among the target households
- Manage Mtakatifu Clara Mwangaza training resource center.
- Team up with Mtakatifu Clara Farm manager and the Community Development Facilitator- Livelihoods programme in planning and implementing the joint activities
- Collaborate with other development agencies working in Lare Ward
- Report on a regular basis to the Programme Manager
- Keep accurate accounts and records of the development activities and submit these to the programme Manager.
- Use and manage efficiently programme resources under your control
- Attend meetings, workshops and seminars when required to do so by the programme manager or the college management.
- Link with other college facilitators in promoting college programmes in the community.
- Feedback to the college on the engagements and the learning in the outreach programme for the purpose of advising the training curriculum and the programs
Qualification and Skills:
- Diploma in Sustainable Agriculture for Rural Development, or Agriculture Education and Extension with a 2 years’ experience working with communities in agriculture and development .OR
- Certificate in Sustainable Agriculture for Rural Development / Agriculture Education and Extension with a 3 years’ experience working with communities in Agriculture and Development.
