Car Tracking (GPS) Technician Job in Nairobi, Kenya

Our client in the Motor Vehicle Security Solutions provider is urgently seeking to fill the role of Car Tracking (GPS) Technician based in Nairobi.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair and service all approved products
  • Testing installed units
  • Complete administrative tasks (work sheets, job cards etc.)
  • Training end users on software and installations
  • Maintaining proper information logs and submitting to assigned supervisors with all tracking device installation connected information as directed
  • Troubleshooting – effectively diagnose repair issues with Tracking units
  • Contacting clients and diagnosing tracker’s service and /or replacement for the vehicles whose trackers are malfunctioning
  • Delivering the highest level of professional service to the company client while keeping tracker’s installations and service information strictly confidential
  • Establishing relationships, representing the company and dealing with customer inquiries

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree or Diploma in automotive / electrical / mechanical / electronics from a recognised institution
  • Minimum 2 years’ professional experience in Electrical Automotive
  • 3+ years of GPS and fleet management and installation
  • Previous experience in installing / handling GPS tracking equipment in a similar role
  • Certificate of Good Conduct
  • Computer literacy
  • Fluent in English and Kiswahili
  • A valid drivers’ license with experience in motor vehicle and motorbikes

This role attracts a gross salary of Ks. 30,000 per month excluding transport allowance / motorbike fuel cost
