control, vector control, seeds and traits, seeks to recruit qualified and experienced individuals to fill the following position:
Smallholder Segment Assistant – Vegetable Seeds
Ref No. HR/CS/VS-015/2021
Support & Assistance of the Smallholder segment leads in the region to optimize output.
Major Tasks and Responsibilities
- Portfolio management to manage the best mix that maximize profits in the 1 to 3-years timeframe.
- Implementation of life cycle management activities to maximize footprint and reduce complexity.
- Identification of opportunities for the Smallholder segment beyond seed. (licensing, new crops, CP, Biologics, Digital etc.)
- Build relationships that can increase our footprint and competitive advantage in the Smallholder segment and enable tailored solutions.
- Leverages partnerships with Crop Protection, Horticulture, and digital technology providers to enable tailored solutions.
- Strategy formulation and implementation support.
- Any other support as requested by the Smallholder vegetable team.
Experience / Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in horticulture, Agronomy, or related field
- Experience in Marketing is added advantage.
- Must have at least 2-3 years’ experience of product Management in horticulture, or related field
- Show success in organization worked In and market research knowledge.
- Proven ability to deliver results in a multi-disciplinary team.
- Well organized, with attention to detail. Should be self-motivated.
- Exhibit ability to think strategically, while demonstrating adaptability to embrace challenges.
- Demonstrate ability to work across functions and cultures.
- Ability to use new technology and stay up to date with technology needed to do the job efficiently.
- High level of customer orientation
- Show high adeptness to manage ambiguity
