Job Vacancy: DEPUTY DIRECTOR, RECORDS MANAGEMENT
Terms of service: Permanent
Requirements for appointment
i. Be a citizen of Kenya;
ii. Bachelor’s Degree in Information Science, Records Management or its equivalent from an institution recognized in Kenya;
iii. Relevant working experience of not less than (10) years, five (5) of which should be in Senior or Leadership position either in the public or private Sector;
OR
Served in the grade of Assistant director, Records Management or any other relevant and comparable position in the public service for a minimum of three (3) years; and
iv. Demonstrated professional competence and administrative ability in the management of the records function.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Deputy Director, Records Management will be responsible for:
Initiation, development and implementation of Records Management policies and procedures;
Liaising with Kenya National Archives and Documentation Services on appraisal and disposal of dormant records;
Efficient and effective management of registry services;
Ensuring security of information and records;
Custodian of County Government records; and
Any other relevant duty as may be assigned by a competent authority.
Salary Scale:
The salary, allowances and other benefits attached to the above positions will be as determined by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission.
