Job Details:
- International Justice Mission is a global organization that protects people in poverty from violence, UM partners with local authorities in 19 program offices in 11 countries to combat slavery, violence against women and children, and other forms of abuse against people who are poor. IIM works to rescue and restore victims, hold perpetrators accountable, and help strengthen public justice systems.

Program Attorney .Job details:
- The attorney will represent victims of police abuse of power and child victims of sexual exploitation in both civil and criminal proceedings ensuring provision of high quality legal services.
- They will also provide accompaniment to government actors to hold police accountable for abuse of power while providing input of the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of UM Kenya’s programs as well as ensure legal representation of UM clients and enable the achievement of robust outcomes in IJM cases whilst ensuring high quality legal services to our clients.
- The program attorney will partner with various criminal justice agencies including law enforcement officials, civil society organizations and community leaders to provide critical strategy in accompanying government actors to hold perpetrators accountable for their crimes.
- He/she will identify and research on emerging needs and trends within the legal system requiring administrative, advocacy, training, legal, policy and media intervention and work with the respective Outcome leads to highlight and implement solutions to the same.
- Additionally, the Attorney will provide input of the design, implementation and contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of UM projects. Occasional travel locally may be required.

Education & Experience
• Degree in law, with at least Four (4) years post-admission experience
• Minimum of Five (5) years’ legal professional experience in a similar work environment
• Hold a Current Practicing Certificate
• A Master’s Degree in Law or a related field is an added advantage
• Advanced computer skill set with proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
