Judiciary – JSC Representative to the Salaries and Remuneration Commission Jobs in Kenya
Requirements
For direct appointment to this position, an applicant must be in possession of the following qualifications:
- holds a degree from a university recognized in Kenya;
- has knowledge and at least ten (10) years’ experience in either –
- finance and administration;
- public management;
- economics;
- human resource management; or
- labour laws;
- meets the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution; and
- has had a distinguished career in their respective fields.
- The person should be someone who understands the historic needs of the Judiciary and capable of representing the interest of the Judicial Service Commission and the Judiciary.
A person is not qualified for appointment as Member of the Salaries Remuneration Commission if the person:
- is a member of the Judicial Service Commission;
- is a member of the Judiciary;
- is an undischarged bankrupt; or
- has been removed from office for contravening the provisions of the Constitution or any other law.
Duties and Responsibilities
- The JSC Representative to the Salaries and Remuneration Commission shall be responsible to the Judicial Service Commission and shall ascribe to the mandate and functions of the Salaries and Remuneration Commission which are provided under Article 230 of the Constitution and the Salaries and Remuneration Commission Act No. 10 of 2011.
