Kajiado County General Surgeon Jobs in Kenya
Responsibilities
⦁ Performing complex and advanced clinical patient management in area of specialization;
⦁ Provide quality surgical services to hospital clients;
⦁ participate actively in quality improvement activities including continuing medical education;
⦁ He I she will be expected to be an active member of the multidisciplinary health care team;
⦁ contribute to the continuing professional development programs in the Hospital;
⦁ Supervise and develop junior staff;
⦁ Provide expert opinions in case management, on assessment and attributability;
⦁ Manage and control a special unit when necessary;
⦁ Advise on specialized medical problems and medical administrative problems.
⦁ Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements for Appointment
⦁ Be a Kenyan citizen.
⦁ Be a holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine & Surgery (M.B.Ch. B) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
⦁ Must have Master’s degree in the relevant field from a recognized institution;
⦁ Must have successf ully completed at least 1 year of internship and registered with the Kenya Medical and Practitioners and Dentists Board (KMPDU);
⦁ Certificate of Registration by the Medical practitioners and Dentist Board .
⦁ Valid Practicing license;
⦁ Certificate in Strategic Leadership Development Programme lasting not less than six (6) weeks from a recognized institution
⦁ Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills;
⦁ Demonstrate a thorough understanding of County development objectives;
⦁ Proficiency in computer applications;
⦁ Have capacity to work under pressure to meet timelines;
⦁ Have ability to work in a multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity;
⦁ Demonstrate understanding and commitment to the values and principles as outlined in Article 10 and 232 of the Constitution of Kenya;
⦁ Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
