Kajiado County Medical Officer Jobs in Kenya
Responsibilities
⦁ Overall health care service delivery in the county and sub-county hospitals;
⦁ Provide consultation, monitoring and follow up on patients;
• Review existing inpatient/ outpatient activities and patients;
• Provide mentorship and supervisory roles to supervisees;
⦁ Work on quality care improvement;
⦁ Formulation and implementation of health care programs;
⦁ Development and implementation of strategic plan and work plans for health;
⦁ Any other duty as may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements for Appointment
⦁ Be a Kenyan Citizen
⦁ Be a holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine & Surgery (M.B.Ch. B) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
⦁ Must have successfully completed at least 1 year of internship;
⦁ Registration certificate from relevant Professional Body.
⦁ Valid Practicing license;
⦁ Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills;
⦁ Demonstrate a thorough understanding of County development objectives;
⦁ Proficiency in computer applications;
⦁ Have capacity to work under pressure to meet timelines;
⦁ Have ability to work in a multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity;
⦁ Demonstrate understand ing and commitment to the values and principles as outlined in Article 10 and 232 of the Constitution of Kenya;
⦁ Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
