Examination of patent, utility model and industrial design applications for compliance with formality requirements as provided under the Industrial Property Act;
Classification of applications according to International Patent Classification System (IPC) and Locarno Classification System;
Conducting patent, utility model and industrial design searches and provide technical advice to the public;
Substantive examination of patent and utility model or industrial design applications;
Any other duty that may be assigned.
Requirements for appointment
For appointment to this grade, a person must have:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Information
Communication or physics or equivalent qualifications from recognized institution; and
