Duties and responsibilities
- Advising clients and responding to enquiries on trade mark procedures;
- Ascertaining classification and identification of goods and services;
- Conducting trade mark searches;
- Examining applications for registrations of trade marks;
- Classifying trade marks according to Nice and Vienna Classification; and
- Any other duty that may be assigned.
Requirements for appointment
For appointment to this grade, a person must have:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Law, Economics, Commerce or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution; and
- Computer competency.
