Description
- Our client, Kenya Tea Packers Limited, (KETEPA), is the leading tea blending and Packaging company in Kenya with over 50 products including Black Tea, Flavoured Tea, Green Tea, Purple Tea, Orthodox Tea, Herbal Infusions and Purified Drinking Water. They wish to recruit an Export Manager.
Purpose of the Job
- Develop the export business segment and ensure the company grows the existing markets while continuously establishing new markets for KETEPA products.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities are as follows:
Operational Roles and Responsibilities
- Create and execute plans and strategies to achieve sales volumes, and financial targets in distribution in export markets.
- Closely work with business partners to identify and utilise growth opportunities in terms of distribution channels.
- Increase company brand visibility, availability and awareness through trade channels in select export markets.
- Identify, analyse and advise management on suitable business partners in marketing and distribution.
- Gather and distribute market intelligence information on customer needs satisfaction.
- Establish a proper understandable line of communication for effective distribution of imported/exported products-handling instructions, manuals and/or training
- Identify corporate risk and application of evasive protocols.
- Continuously develop 4-months rolling SKU realistic demand forecast for individual markets
- Ensure management is well appraised of any international certifications that are necessary for smooth operation.
- Ensure proper adherence of relevant health and safety regulations, internal control procedures
and trading terms.
- Close relationship with relevant departments on execution of export orders
- Perform relevant surveys, analyse the data and make recommendations on the same
- Perform any other relevant duties that may be assigned by the supervisor within the scope of the position.

Knowledge and Skills Required
The job holder must possess:
- Bachelor of Commerce in a business related field or International Marketing.
- Professional qualification in Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing.
- Five (5) years in FMCGs industry with a minimum of two (2) in relevant Export Market.
- Proficiency in computer MS-Office applications.
- Demonstrated communication and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of target export market foreign management.
