Study at MUT
Murang’a University of Technology is uniquely located in a semi-urban setting at the heart of Murang’a Township. The University has distinguished itself as a diverse institution offering internationally recognized and fully accredited academic programmes across the Schools of Engineering and Technology, Computing and IT, Applied Sciences, Hospitality and Tourism, and Business and Economics. Opening its doors to only 15 students in 2013, MUT to-date has more than 3,000 registered students and accommodates more than 80% of its student population in its on-and-off campus residences. Our Main campus is on the public transport access route that can be reached through buses, taxis.
MUT strives to offer students an unforgettable campus life by providing valuable academic programming, academic support services to enhance students’ progress, leadership and entrepreneurial development programmes, an active sports culture, and a sense of community service. In 2013, the MUT campus was declared an alcohol-free zone.

Application, Selection, Admission and Registration Procedures
Tuition fees are approved by the University Council. The fees are set per academic year depending on the course and subjects. Residence fees outside campus residence range between Kshs 5,000 and 8,000 per semester. Travel expenses, meals, stationery and text books are not included in the above costs. Tuition fees may be deposited directly into the University account.
