Role Purpose
- Responsible for safe transportation of patients and caregivers in a timely manner, and maintenance of ground ambulance equipment and consumables. .
Key Responsibilities
• Driving and maintaining the ambulance in a good condition and reporting any mechanical problems arising
• Performing daily routine checks on the vehicle. (tyres, oil, fuel, water, sirens. emergency lights).
• Daily routine checks on ground ambulance equipment and consumables and update checklist.
• Checking and confirming presence and proper functioning of medical equipment
• Smooth handling and transportation of patients.
• Stocking and documenting usage of consumable items in the ambulance.
• To transport equipment, documents, and office supplies as required.
• To assist flight nurses with loading and offloading into the aircraft and ground ambulance.
• To assist cleaning the emergency store after flights.
Essential Requirements
• 5 years minimum Experience Driving a Ground Ambulance
• Emergency Medical Technician Training / Paramedic Training
• “O” Level certification
• First Aid certification
• Good understanding of the laws governing ambulance services
• Valid Driving license with the relevant categories.
