Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee an organization’s sales policies, objectives and initiatives. Set short- and long-term sales strategies and evaluate effectiveness of current sales programs. Recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential.
- Communicate with clients to understand their sales goals and objectives.
- Identify current sales process bottlenecks and inconsistencies.
- Monitor and report on KPIs regularly.
- Identify opportunities for product and service up-sell.
- Identify opportunities for new client acquisition.
- Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team.
- Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure its’ strong presence.
- Own recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales representatives.
- Determine annual unit and gross-profit plans by implementing marketing strategies; analyzing trends and results.
- Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for the region; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
- Manage, develop, coach, control and motivate the sales force to develop their skill to ensure that a high professional standard is achieved and monthly sales target and KPI target are met.
- Assess the strengths and weaknesses of the sales team and manage the sales program accordingly.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients.
- Create compelling sales pitches.
- Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team.
- Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
Requirements
- Bachelor/ Masters degree in sales, marketing and/or business administration or a related field.
- 5 year experience as sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
- Ability to hire and train new sales representatives.
- Ability to resolve customer satisfaction issues.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, ability to present to large and small audiences.
- Ability to negotiate price, other concessions and terms and conditions.
- Strong quantitative, analytical and conflict resolution abilities.
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
- Experience of religiously using a CRM.
- Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills.
