Thank you for choosing Scott Christian University. In this communication we present to you the details of our 2016 / 2017 Fee Structure as follows;
(i)Tuition
a.Standard Government rates for tuition apply
b.Each student is expected to pay KShs.8, 000/= per semester towards tuition fees. For financial assistance from HELB see (ii) (a) below.
(ii)Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
a.Financial assistance for tuition of KShs.8,000/= per semester is available from HELB (www.helb.co.ke)
b.Financial assistance of KShs. 34,000/= per year is available towards students living (accommodation & meals) and books, from HELB.
(iii)A practical fee of Ksh4, 500 per semester (which is not included in the fee structure above) is applicable to all Bachelor of Hospitality and Tourism Management students.
(iv)All students must have a valid medical cover most preferred NHIF. The following hospitals accept NHIF outpatient in Machakos, kindly choose either of them. 1) Shalom Hospital 2) Machakos Level 5 3) St. David’s Health Care
(v)Accommodation (Optional)
The University has boarding facilities, and the fee is as follows:
∙Accommodation is charged at KShs.10, 000 per semester.
∙Accommodation is limited and is on a first come first served basis.
∙Food is available on a pay-as-you-eat basis. COOKING OF MEALS IS NOT ALLOWED IN THE ROOMS.
(vi)Fees, being discounted and at the government regulated rates, are payable in full at the date of registration
(vii)Fees are payable by money order, bankers cheque, a cash deposit into the SCU Bank Account or direct deposit to the University M-Pesa PayBill Number. Cash or Personal Cheques including private company cheques will not be accepted.
(viii)No refund will be made for fees or payments not utilized. Fees shall not be pro-rated.
The University Management reserves the right to adjust the fee structure.
