SCOTT CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY 2020/21 FEE STRUCTURE
Diploma and Certificate Programmes
Thank you for choosing Scott Christian University. In this communication we present to you the details of our 2016 Fee Structure as follows;
(i)Tuition charge per credit hour
a.The total tuition fee for Diploma Programmes is charged at 15 credit hours for regular and 12 credit hours for School based as follows; regular day Ksh 2,280 per credit hour, regular evening Ksh 2,000 per credit hour and Ksh 1,800 per credit hour for School based.
b.Total tuition fee for Certificate Programmes is charged at 15 credit hours for regular and 12 credit hours for School based. A credit hour for Regular day is Ksh 1,800, Regular evening is Ksh 1,620 and School based is Ksh 1,800.
(ii)All students must have a valid medical cover most preferred NHIF. The following hospitals accept NHIF outpatient in Machakos, kindly choose either of them. 1) Shalom Hospital 2) Machakos Level 5 3) St. David’s Health Care
(iii)Accommodation and food (Optional)
∙Accommodation for regular is charged at Kshs. 10,000 per semester
∙Accommodation per week for school based is Ksh 1,100.
∙Accommodation is limited and is on a first come first serve basis.
∙Food is available on a pay-as-you-eat basis. NO COOKING OF MEALS IS ALLOWED IN THE ROOMS
(iv)Fees is paid either in: full at the date of registration Or in Installments
Parents/sponsors who may want to pay in instalment must write and state so before the date of registration. A student is required to pay at least 50% of tuition fee, 100% of all other fee items during registration and the balance as requested on or before mid- semester break
(v)Fee is payable by money order, bankers cheque, a cash deposit into the SCU Bank Account or direct deposit to the University M-Pesa PayBill Number. Cash or Personal Cheques including private company cheques will not be accepted.

(vi)No refund will be made for accommodation and food not utilized
(vii)Internship fee of Ksh 25,000 for 2nd year students. Graduation fee of Ksh 6,000 is paid at the last semester before graduation
(viii)Terms and Conditions apply. The University Reserves the right to adjust fees from time to time
