Developing and implementing a marketing and business development strategy, and undertaking communication aimed at achieving the company’s objectives.
Identifying trendsetter ideas by researching on industry-related events and publications.
Forecasting sales targets and working in conjunction with account managers and certification officers in ensuring they are met.
Taking a lead role in managing the annual customer satisfaction survey and recommending remedial measures to management Planning and overseeing of new marketing initiatives.
Acting as a liaison between customer service and other departments within the organization.
Business development training and mentoring for all staff.
Public relations management i.e. building connections for the company by keeping in touch with existing clients and using market networks to identify potential clients and support marketing initiatives.
Developing and maintaining a risk register for the marketing and business development portfolio.
Making follow-up contact with the business pipeline developed through various marketing activities.
Keeping tabs on the competition and collecting timely intelligence.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (an MBA in business administration, sales or relevant field is an advantage)
MUST have more than 7 years of proven working experience as a business development manager or a relevant role.
Must be French-speaking.
Excellent Project management skills and ability to connect with internal stakeholders & external customers.
Candidates with prior experience a Business Development in the agriculture sector will have an added advantage.
