TIBU Health is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to help build and improve on its logistics side of the company. You’ll work on the backend implementation of the platform heading a small team of like minded individuals. This is a highly impactful role, giving you the opportunity to deeply impact our code, feature set and products!

TIBU uses technology to connect Africa’s poor, low, and higher-income populations to high-quality private outpatient healthcare in real time and at affordable cost. We decentralize primary outpatient care (including labs and diagnostics) to keep service costs low and convenient for the patient while enabling health workers to operate their own practices without the prohibitive capital investments associated with opening a traditional healthcare practice. Our platform equally digitizes patient health data and streamlines insurance claims to put the patient in complete control of their healthcare.
What you’ll do here:
Lead architecture discussions from the early exploration of ideas to deciding on a concrete path forward.
Work as part of a team developing applications and services using Agile development methods.
Code, test and operate node.js based services.
Design and develop high-performance web applications that run on AWS.
Contribute to the growth of our team culture.
Technically lead and mentor a team of Backend Engineers to build/extend complex modules.
Here are some things that spark our interest:
Extensive understanding of JavaScript and Node based web application development.
Experience working with version control systems (GitHub).
Experience working in a micro services based architecture, including deployment, communication protocols (REST).
Experience maintaining and configuring an automated CI/CD pipeline.
Extensive use of AWS tools such as :EC2, EBS, Lambda, RDS, S3.
Experience working with packaged based deployments (Docker).
A hunger for learning and picking up new technologies.
