The School has two departments namely; Department of Education Science chaired by Dr. Ibuathu C. Njati and Department of Educational Communications Technology chaired by Dr. Mercy N. Thuranira. The school admitted her 110 pioneer students for the Bachelor of Education Science in September 2014. The school aspires to produce innovative and quality science teachers in order to enhance modern ways of disseminating knowledge. The student population is currently 480. Students specialise in science education with the following subject combinations: Mathematics/Physics, Mathematics/Chemistry, Physics/Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics, Mathematics/Agriculture, Mathematics/Computer studies, Chemistry/Biology and Biology/Agriculture.

The School of Education will soon be launching Bachelor of Education in Mathematics and Business studies option plus several masters of education programs.

SCHOOL OF EDUCATION (SED)UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMMES
Bachelor of Education  (Science)  

 

 Have a minimum mean grade of C+ (plus) in K.C.S.E. and should have a minimum grade of C+ (plus) in any two teaching subjects from the following:C (plain) in Mathematics if not a teaching subject, Biology/Chemistry/Physics/Agriculture/ Mathematics or Computer Studies & Mathematics or Computer Studies & Physics and C (plain) in Mathematics & English/Kiswahili. Candidates holding a Diploma in Education and with C (plain) in K.C.S.E and two teaching subjects will be considered for admission into the 2ndyear of study.
Duration: 8 semesters   Mode of Study: Full-time   Campus: Main Campus (Nchiru)Tuition fees per semester: Ksh. 45,000
