The ideal candidate for this job is great with numbers, has a keen attention to detail, resourceful, a good problem solver and very organized. Assuring a steady completion of workload in a timely manner is key to success in this position.

Job Title

Finance Supervisor – based in Nairobi, Kenya

Job Summary

The Financial Supervisor will oversee the organizations accounting systems, maintaining accurate records and financial documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the CEO, the incumbent will be required but not limited to:

− Keep accurate and up to date accounts for MHAG using QuickBooks.

− Submit all monthly statutories.

− Keep accurate patient lists and reconcile with other team members.

− Follow up with all creditors to ensure timely payments are received.

− Make payments to suppliers.

− Handling office tasks, such as filing, record keeping, generating reports and presentations, setting up meetings.

− Analyze financial reports in relation to current budget and prior year information.

− Audit expenditures, ensuring compliance with the accounting procedures of the organization.

− Balance and reconcile accounts; adjusts and corrects daily journal entries.

− Monitor expenditures and prepares monthly financial statements and administrative reports.

− Prepare quarterly and annual statements.

− Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and skills

− At least 2 years’ experience working in an accounts or finance role.

− A degree in accounting or another relevant degree is a must

− Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly reports

− Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

− Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

− Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

− Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

− Ability to juggle multiple projects with superb accuracy

− Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

− Extensive knowledge of accounting concepts and principles.

− A team player and willing to put in long hours

− Ability to analyze and interpret financial data.

− Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting and financial software including QuickBooks.
