About Kenya Medical Training College Bomet Campus
Overview
KMTC Bomet Campus was started in September 2013 as the 37th Constituent College of KMTC out of the Current 66. It is located within Longisa Market adjacent to Longisa level 5 County Referral Hospital.
The campus started with a population of 50 students and this number has since grown to a population of 700. We admit twice a year in March and September.

The Campus offers 3 programmes:
– Diploma Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing.
– Diploma in Clinical Medicine.
– Certificate Kenya Enrolled Community Health Nursing.

Full time from 8.00 am to 5 pm except for Practical experience which includes weekends
The Campus offers ICT Lessons for free and are mandatory for all students.
Clinical training sites
The students use Longisa Level 5 County Referral Hospital which is less than 20 metres from the Campus and Rural Health facilities within and outside the Bomet County for their clinical experience.
Future Plans
The Campus plans to increase its programmes from 3 to 6 by 2020. The new programmes will include:
– Higher Diploma in Anaesthesia
– Diploma in optometry
– Diploma in Pharmacy.

Facilities include:
Fully Equipped Skills Laboratory – where students do their practice using mannequins and simulated patients to master their skills before they are exposed to real patients in the Clinical sites.
Staff and administration offices are fully equipped with latest technologies for teaching and Learning.
Computer Laboratory
The Campus has a fully equipped laboratory with over 50 modern Computers. WIFI network is available 24 /7 where students Google and do research.
The Campus uses modern technologies to teach by use of Computers and LCDS.
Library
KMTC Bomet Campus Library is fully equipped with latest Books and is located in a serene environment.
Hostels
Well equipped hotels with WIFI network are available with good water and electricity supply.
Clubs and societies
-Sporting activities are available and our students participate from Zonal to National levels of the sports competition. The campus has won several Gold, Silver and Bronze in Ball games and athletics.
Societies in the campus include the following:
-Christian union
– Environmental club among others.
