The course is designed to produce graduates with knowledge, skills and competencies for efficient and effective health systems management and development to ensure lasting health change in Africa. Health Systems Management and Development is a fast developing area that requires urgent attention for the health sectors in Africa to appropriately respond to the health needs of populations and deliver on the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) agenda of ensuring everyone has equal access to healthcare.

Admission Requirements

KCSE (or equivalent) Certificate with a minimum aggregate of C+
- minimum of C in Biology and Chemistry
- Minimum of C in English/Kiswahili and Mathematics/Physics (or equivalent) certificate with C+ for Biology and Chemistry;

KACE with a minimum of two principal passes including:
- Biology and subsidiary passes in Chemistry, Mathematics/Physics;

Diploma (with a KSCE mean grade C) in Public Administration, Business Administration/Management, Public Health, Environmental Health, Clinical Medicine, Pharmacy, Community Health, Human Nutrition or the equivalent;

Higher National Diploma (HND) in Public Administration, Business Administration/Management, Public Health, Environmental Health, Clinical Medicine, Pharmacy, Community Health, Human Nutrition, or the equivalent of any of these qualifications from an Institution recognised by the University Senate plus a KSCE mean grade C.
